One of the trail signs along the hiking route that tells those in the Club, how much farther they must go before they can rest. The Appalachian Trail and White water Club is open to the Louisburg College fannily and offers various activities in the areas of exciting trips to the mountains for hiking and the greats rivers of the East Coast for white water rafting. Students who joined the club can receive one credit hour toward a Physical Education elective. The club also puts out publica- tions to aid members in the preservation and appreciation of the wilderness envi- ronment. The club is under the direction of Mr. Allen deHart. ppaachian Trail This group of Louisburg College students is being led by Mike Beaman into the Great Smoky Mountains.
