They also assist in typing, filing, and the Preparation of reports and other miscellaneous clerical chores. The assistants serve as communication medium between the office and teachers and office and students, and mail clerks. The assistants work in the Pri- mary School. Intermediate School, as well as the High School unit.

These students handle the daily mechanics of checking and rechecking books and magazines, keeping the reading room neat and attractive , and keeping the books in order on the shelves so that library customers can find them easily.

It is defined as instructional shop work of a non-vocational type which pro- vides general educational expe- riences centered around the industrial and technical aspects of life today and offers orienta- tion in the areas of appreciation, production, consumption and recreation through actual experi- ences with material and goods. The instructor for this phase of education is Don Whitlock.
