HOUSE OF LIFE E Under the able direc- 'tion of Sidney Straight, Lincoln College had a very Qwell balanced chorus. Their fsinging helped make many assemblies worth attending. FKRKDR SCXIIETY In the spring of '48, the Cbllege faculty. for the first time in the school's history voted to hold an honors convocation honoring those students who had achieved an average of 3.5 for one and one-half se- mesters. This convocation was held on October 12. 1948. Jean Boone. Nancy Mc- Cullough. Catherine lessman. Conway Spanton. and Dale Aeick were the students honored. In February. a din- ner was given for these students. Dale Awick was elected president. Jean Boone. secretary. Conway Spanton was appointed to :rite the constitution, and David Stevenson nas named faculty advisor. April 26. the first convocation by the new society was held. Pat- ricia Kodatt, Clifford Brad- ley, and Don Whitnah were inducted. The society plans to affiliate with Phi Theta Kappa, a national Junior College Honor Fraternity. All the world's a stage. Yes. and that por- tion of the world situated at Lincoln, is also part of the stage and it has its own little group that 'struts and frets' upon that st ge. Although the actors and actresses who take part in the Theatre Guild produc- tions are strictly amateurs. they still, principally be- cause of the success of their amateur productions. have the privilege of being called 'actors and actress- es. N The activity under the direction of Sidney Straight has put on to date such pro- ductions as 'Joan of Arc . 'SubmergedN. 0Suppressed Desires', and 'Ckacked Ice.N EIKOSI KOHAI Eikosi Korai. Lincoln College women'a society, is an organizatio established to promote leadership and service among the women students. Members are ac- cepted on the basis of points secured for service. scholarship. and character.
