Among the more popular groups were Dire Strait, Motley Crue, and Bruce Springsteen, from the rock category. Coming from the pop groups were Ready for the World, Huey Lewis and the News, and Tears for Fears. Fi- nally, there were George Strait, Hank Williams Jr., and Alabama, in the coun- try bracket. Although it is nice to have favorites, there are always the less liked artists. Falling into these spots were Ratt, Twisted Sister, and Krokus, from the rick catagory. Pop artists who weren't well liked by sophomores were Phil Col- lins, Sade, and Julian Lennon. The country artists were Willie Nelson, Ro- sanne Cash, and Terri Gibbs. Could you imagine having to teach sophomores? Well, many teachers do. lt's hard at first because the students don't know the school or the students around them. The teachers have to help them make a transition. Students don't get into class conversations. They're a little bit shy and don't want to make fools of themselves. After a while they got into the swing of things and start to be brave. They make friends with the teachers and other students. Some teachers feel that sophomores need to mature. Since the students don't know about school policies and they never bother to find out, they mess up many times and don't even know it. All in all. When sophomores first come to L.C.H.S., they have a lot of adjust- ments to make.
