'Twas in the year of '41, the Seniors kept us on the rung We were Freshmen then you see, as green and silly as could be. In '42 we followed through, a bit reserved and quiet, But with hardly anything to do, we broke out in riotg Setting girls on the fountain was then a favorite prank But found it wasn't quite the thing, 'twas just a bit too rank. Old '43, he came around almost before we knew itg So much to do, so much to learn, we never could quite do it. That J unior-Senior Banquet, we never shall forget, And that funny Junior Class Play is still talked about yet. Hail! Senior year of '44, Hail! classmates who have gone to war! We've all received an education, we hope to serve a better nation Each one will stand firm at his station, To profit from his graduation. Marvin Holloway.
