You Find the Nicest A Day in the Life of a Yearbook Staffer at 3:02 p.m., he pulled open the heavy, gray door and stood in the doorway. He gazed forlornly at the Heeing hordes of 3:00. Then he en- tered the tiny, windowless Yearbook Office. He was alone with a lay-out sheet, a grease pencil, and decrepit typewriter. He sat in the stillness and racked his brain, but the brilliant ideas wouldn ' t come. The deadline was al- most here .... If the yearbook is a failure .... the kids will say .... He stared at the drawing of the vol- uptous mushroom for inspiration. Nothing. The faces in the pictures before him leered at his panic. Five o ' clock, the yearbook staffer dragged himself home to a bologna sandwich and a physics test.
