Students Honored Sponsored by Mr. Tatsuo Matsushita, the Honor Society is composed of students with A or B averages. Members have been given the special privilege of using their study periods as they wish, provided they do not leave the school building. Meetings were led by Calvin Trevenen, GIRLS OF THE WEEK President. Postel, Sever, Fikslin, Palumbo. The Girl of the Week Committee was responsible for selecting the Girls of the Week. The committee nominated and elected the girls, arranging for both flowers for them and for their pictures to be displayed in the front hall. The queens as pictured were Activity Girl, Athletic Girl, Honor Girl, and Senior Girl respectively. Snow Queen, Nancy Cahill, is pictured with her court. Delivering messages, typing, filing, answering telephones, and getting students out of classes to see their counsellors are the varied duties of the Dean’s and Counselors’ Secretaries. Students Perform The Drama Club, under the direction and guidance of Mr. Milton Zucker. presented an excerpt from “Come Blow Your Horn” in the talent show and, under the direction of Mike Moroses. “A Castle in the Village.” Marlene DePaolo was the president of the club. The Audio Visual Aids, sponsored by Mr. Stanley Kopaki, ran assembly films and worked with sound effects and lighting. This year’s senior play, “The Whole Town’s Talking,” was a comedy about a Sandusky, Illinois family. Mr. Milton Zucker directed the production, and Cal Trevenen, Marlene DePaolo, Nancy Cahill, Robert Parsons, and Mike Moroses had principal roles. The Future Physicians and Nurses, headed by Mr. Joseph Nasello, conducted meetings, at one of which Dr. Estler, a local veterinarian, spoke.
