Clubs Promote Interest The French Club, headed by Miss Edith Circle, sponsored a cake sale during Open House, the proceeds of which went to the Student Loan Fund. The Spanish Club, headed by Miss Eleanor Adams, dined at a Spanish restaurant in New York. The German Club, headed by Miss Vera Tolor, took part in the talent show and sang German songs. Students Form Committees The Election Committee, headed by Ken Davie, supervised the election of freshman Council officers in January and the election of Council officers in June. Under the supervision of Marlene DePaolo, the Arts and Advertising Committee circulated flyers, made homeroom calendars, drew posters, and decorated the front hall at Christmas. The Lab Council proved to be of invaluable assistance to the science department. The School Spirit Committee gave our teams the confidence they needed. Students Perform The Drama Club, under the direction and guidance of Mr. Milton Zucker. presented an excerpt from “Come Blow Your Horn” in the talent show and, under the direction of Mike Moroses. “A Castle in the Village.” Marlene DePaolo was the president of the club. The Audio Visual Aids, sponsored by Mr. Stanley Kopaki, ran assembly films and worked with sound effects and lighting. This year’s senior play, “The Whole Town’s Talking,” was a comedy about a Sandusky, Illinois family. Mr. Milton Zucker directed the production, and Cal Trevenen, Marlene DePaolo, Nancy Cahill, Robert Parsons, and Mike Moroses had principal roles.
