' Alamo Stadium, Oct. 17: Capitalizing on Jefferson ' s mis- cues, the MacArthur Brahmas beat the Mighty Mustangs 23-0 in the district opener for both squads. Strictly an of- fensive battle, Mac scored on a Jeff safety, a misjudged punt, and a Mustang fumble on the Hosses ' own 15-yard line. Even though the Brahmas dominated the scoreboard, the Mustang defense held Mac on three goal-line stands. Proving themselves on the Mustang secondary were Fred Ekmark, Ronnie Thompson, Pat O ' Connell, and Joe Nobis.
