Golf The golf team completed yet another suc- cessful season with a decisive win in the NAIA District 18 Invitational, which en- abled them to travel to the NAIA tourna- ment in Michigan where they placed sec- ond nationally. { ii tT l , Men ' s Tennis The men ' s tennis team jumped to a Cjuick season start by winning their first four games, however they ended the season with a 5-4 slate. lUP, under Coach Vince Celtnieks, finish- ed third of five teams in the NAIA Dis- trict 18 Tournament, and tied for sixth of nine teams in the Pennsylvania Confer- ence Tournament. lUP ' s top individuals were senior Tom VanZandt of (Carlisle and sophomore Doug Kegerreis of Fort Loudon. Kegerreis (fourth singles), Tony Cirel li (sixth singles), and the third doubles team of Kip Velt - and Steve Leuschel all reached the semifinals in state com- petition. I 259
