THHCH TEHIH Hyde Park's traek men opened the 1955 indoor season on February 3 with a double defeat- at the hands of the Mighty Men of Dunbar: 55-22, by the seniors, and 38-30 by the juniors. The sen- iors then proceeded to throttle DuSable, 58-23, lost to Tilden, by only four points, 43-39, and then trampled Mount Carmel 47-21. In a tri- angular meet, Dunbar beat us 43-37 as Tilden eame in last with only 24 points. In the quad- rangular meet between Crane Teeh, University High and Marshall, H. P. took second with 455 points behind Crane's 57M points. University High trailed with 24 to Marshall's 15. The Juniors showed promise for next year as they beat Tilden, 36-32, DuSable, 48-20, and Mt. Carmel, 42M-25M after their defeat to Dunbar. In the triangular meet our juniors trailed Dunbar 34 1 ,.i:' 3-26 2 .fr' 3, to Tilden's 22 2 f ' 3. In the quad- rangular meet, H.-P. trailed Crane Tech 55-36 to Ifniversit-y High's 15, and Mars,hal1's 9. The Senior team consisted of Richard Lee and Ken Bobrow, sprinters, John Keyes and Norman Parish in the 440,-Prince Phelps and Chuek Leon- ard in the half mile, Eric Williams in the high jump, Harold Shade in the broad jump, Morrie 162 Much on the shot put, and an 883 relay team oi Richard Lee, Kenny Bobrow, Vlialter Tinner, and John Keyes. The Junior team included Albert Heard, Mich- ael Grousd, Carl Williams. and Maurice Ford in the 880 relay, George Napier, Heard, and John- son as sprinters, and Ford and Grousd in the 440.
