lThirty-sevenj ALLAQAROO' MON DAY. We went through the famous kitchens of L'l-lotel de Paris and found Margaret Eagan in charge of them. Her specialties on salads, cakes and fudge. THURSDAY. At last we are in Switzerland! XVe walked up a mountain in the Alps today and went to a monastary for provisions and to see the old structure that was used in the war of 1870. About the third person we saw was the monktyj Thurman Zinn. whose pink cheeks still have their maiden blush. not having been faded by the moun- tain air. Frances King, his broken-hearted fiance, is living just around the mountain side. XVEDNESDAY. I haven 't written this for nearly two weeks. and oh, the sights I've seen! NVe went to a harem fwe are in Turkey this weekj and when we looked at the veiled ladies. the most prominent one was Helen Grovier. Among her side-kieks were Helen Hulse, who was having a hard time restraining her husbandt EH. She always was fond of arguing. having much practice with Miss Johnston. Doro- thy Barrett, Leta Mason, Gladys Gibbs, are also among the im- ported. A MONTH LATER. XVe have just returned from the interior of Africa. One of the strangest sights we saw was Ray Shull. our pink and white boy, ruling a tribe of natives. Ray is anything but pink and white now. TXVO XVEEKS LATER. China. Zlllil the first person we saw was Maude Baker, in her role of missionary. Another person of importance was Clement Strong, who is now our ambassador to Borneo. ITALY-SEVERAL NVEEKS LATER. Tonight we went gondola riding and our gondolier was Horley Priddle, who charmed us with his voice. Berniee was standing on the rear end of the gondola to see that Horley did not flirt with any tourists. HANVAH. This is the land of the blue grass skirts. SAN FRANCISOO. XVC visit-ed Chinatown and found Harold Lusk policing the district. Home again and we went to vist High School and found Miss Dow conducting the sailor songs. There's no place like home. HHS1922 -
