Qoulcfance At the head of the guidance program is .1 per- son who makes sure that each student is taken care of. This is the tremendous task which is so ably handled each year by Mrs. Neylon. In addi- tion to the time she puts in at her post as English teacher, Mrs. Neylon spends hours guiding and counseling her four hundred and fifty kids. Mrs. Neylon tries very hard to help each student who plans to attend college make all the arrange- ments necessary upon entering college. Bean of Enya MR. F. ERNEST TUTHILL One who is always willing to lend anyone a helping hand with all school problems is Mr. Tuthill, Dean of Boys. He is Assistant Principal, Director of Audio- Visual Education, and teaches physics and psychology. Mr. Tuthill works hard so that each boy may get the most out of his high school career. He listens to the boys' problems and tries to give them helpful advice. Any H.C.H.S. student who is at all acquainted with Mr. Tuthill, will probably agree wholeheartedly when we say that he is very cooperative, has a good sense of humor, and is admired by everyone. Mr. Tuthill is a leader with infallible ideals. Ever idle? No, quite the contrary. .zmagqaa MISS DOROTHY CAIRNS Finding time to listen to all the girls' tales of woe, Miss Cairns has faithfully served H.C.H.S. as Dean of Girls for four years. Her friendly counsel has won the confidence and admiration of all the students and faculty. Besides these duties, she teaches physical edu- cation and serves as adviser for G.A.A. Miss Cairns has proved herself fully capable as Dean of Girls by her cheerfulness, efficiency, friendliness and willingness to accept responsibility. She is a busy per- son, but always has time to stop and chat and help those who need her. We are fortunate to have a woman of her calibre as our adviser. 2 0
