Delta Omega Chapter of Pi Kappa Alpha Chartered 1953 OFFICERS ALBERT TREVARTHEN President FRED HANDY Vice-President JACK ZIMMERMAN ' Secretary NORMAN ANDREWS Treasurer Brothers Left to right: Henry Andrews, Doug Barr, Mickey Caudle, Jack Cole, Bill Guy, Tommy Hollingsworth, Roderick Jordan, Elwon Mackintosh, Richard Mason, Larry Rogers, Luther Sanders, Dub Speight, Ed Venable, Kemper Weitzel, Ed Meade, (not pictured.) Didn ' t we all have a ball in 1958-59. Three years undefeated in softball and the all intramural award. What a blast at the beach; party, party and serenade, Ted ' s yellow bug and the KD house. Meade missed all the fun with an attack of appendicitis. Back to school for another bang-up year. Great seeing all the old faces again. Pork back with the Black beast with a new tire yet! Letters all the time from the service boys. Joe ' s gonna be a daddy. Fred ' s pinned. Fabulous back to school party at James- town and Bi ll pins Kdna Rose, which is no real surprise. Kemper, Doug, the Rocking Reu and the rest finally got their grades and became big time brothers. Mac makes it too!! Off we go to the mountains. Corbin and Janice, Bill and Edna Rose get lost?? Oh well, home again finds A. B. Andrews a big lover and Kemp still getting his sugar report from Mass. Trev. still believes he owns part of Grandfather Mountain. Rush!! Wow, what a time; invitations, parties, Doug flashing the bulbs, and then bids. What ' s that? 30 pledges? Great going, men. Will Fussel make it? Intramurals get going and once again we find ourselves doing well. Garnets sing at Miss H. P. C. Contest. Was Finley nervous or not?? Pledges enjoy Help Week and visiting other chap- ters. Everyone has a ball at Bill ' s serenade— oh. remember Veneble ' s wet one? What a time we had at the Gangster Ball, jahoots!! Oil, ho, who told Colonel Cole that Napoleon was little and loud. Was that international party a ball or a party, Gadzooks, what crazy costumes, Luther lost his brother. Shakenasty Zimm- erman still getting a letter a day. Will Mick ever finish school? I wonder if Rick is thinking about joining the Army. The alumni chapter finally gets started. Big Phil is back again. Wished he had joined the Marines. Finley is still around. What would we do without the greatest bunch of pledges in the world? Around rolls March and comes time to quit all little parties and get down to the big oiie— our Dream Girl Ball. Was lovely wasn ' t it? We couldn ' t have picked a sweeter dream girl. I hope to never look at a potato chip again. Here comes the intramural tropin again. Well, looks like time to go back to the beach and have a blast. It has been fun and a great year for all of the brothers and pledges of Pi Kappa Alpha. Wait ' till next year!!
