ORGANIZATIONS Whispering . . . or maybe sounds too loud to be called whispering. shuffling feet. and scraping chairs marked the opening of a club meeting. A committee conference to de- cide on decorations or food, dues to collect. and programs to plan often brought complete chaos to the correct observ- ance of parliamentary proced- ure. An unexpected guffaw or giggle . . . a slightly uncon- trolled temper . . . disagree- ments. disappointments . . . but more often harmony . . . learning by doing.
