Language Clubs All of the tive language clubs have basically the same goals. They attempt to improve their members' ability in writing and speaking the specific lan- guage, while increasing their knowledge ot the culture found in the land in which the language is spoken, These aims are carried out by group discus- sions, films, guest speakers, and trips to the theatre. National Honor Society xl Hewlett High's Asterean chapter of the National Honor Society protited from a truitiul and busy year. At monthly meet- ings, the Society conducted stimulating discussions and was privileged to be host to several guest speakers. A student help program, initiated last year, was again encouraged with the cooperation of the faculty. The annual Alumni Tea, held at the home ot Kathy Sharko, proved to be a huge success. The highlight of the year was the Induction Assembly in the spring, at which time the Honor Society admitted new members on the basis of their overall service and leadership in the school, as well as their integrity in main- taining a high level ot scholastic achieve- ment. Member of Honor Society does math tutoring as part of the student aid program
