War Whoop Represented Az Workshop Edited by Senior Kathy Riffel, the War Whoop displayed an entirely new look this year. Clearer pictures, fewer mistakes, and finer paper quality were results of the new offset printing equipment installed at Met- ropolitan Vocational Technical Center. Four staff members and their adviser attended a high school iournalism work- shop October 24 at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Workshop ses- sions included sports editing, column writ- ing, and political Cartooning. The purpose ofthe workshop was to expose students to professional iournalists who had had experience publishing a daily newspaper. ln addition to the editor, other staff members included Bill Nicholson, sports editor, and Colvin Glasscock, who served as photographer for both the War Whoop and the Warrior. ln April, staff members attended the annual convention of the Arkansas High School Press Associations. ,ss . ..-, ,, ' vw- ,aa- Why did you do that? ,1.r Q' sl Sponsored by the WAR WHOOP
