Organizations Pan American Club The Pan American Club created interest in Latin American countries 5312 and further study in the Spanish language and culture. This was achieved through many extracurricular projects and activities throughout the year. Improving the relationship between the United States and Latin America was one ot their major goals. Many of the members of this club devoted much of their time to collect money for the Managua, Nicaragua earthquake. An induction party was given this past tall for all the new members. The sponsor of the active Pan American Club was Mrs. Carmen Escobar. 5 New members discuss upcoming events in the club. Old members enjoy themselves at the tall inductions. IEEE Organizations German Club The main purpose of the German Club was to help interested students learn more about the language and culture of Germany. Their monthly meetings proved to be quite fascinating and educational. This year, for the interest club project, members of the club collected used toys for needy children during the Christmas season. Sam- Organizations Spanish Honor The Spanish Honor Society recognizes outstanding Spanish lll and IV students who have earned an A average in Spanish and overall B average or better in all other classes lt not only recognizes these students but encourages them to further their studies in the language, the idioms, customs and cultures. ln depth study of the Americas and Spain are featured at all meetings. ln the Spanish Declamation Contest awards are given to outstanding Spanish students Expenses for the contest are partly paid by the dues collected from the members.
