46 Organizations i Key Club Key Club is an active and energetic boys' club at Plant. One ot their main projects tor the year was to renovate the pond located at the entrance of the new wing. Along with Kiwanettes, Key Club sponsored the Turkey Day Dance after Plant's victorious game. Helping to support panther spirit, the club presented a banner for each football game. The boys promoted club unity by wearing jerseys with their insignias on the front every Thursday. This successful club was sponsored by Coach Solmonte and Coach Mims. Tony Duany, Rick Gonzalez, and Buddy Chastain make plans to clean and repair the pond. Organizations Lionettes Lionettes participated in many school activities this year and continued to benefit Plant High and their community. Sponsored by Mrs. Ferguson, the club has had various projects for the year, including their balloon sale for the big send-off at the Turkey Day Game. Through hours of hard work the Lionettes skit placed second in Panther Prowl. Their main service project for this year involved visits to various homes for underprivileged children, where they entertained by singing, reading and playing games. This group worked hard but they took time oft to stun the crowd with their performance in last fall's 'powderpuff football game. . y 1 Members tell Everything You Always Wanted to Know about Kiwanettes at their fall tea. Organizatio Kiwa nettes Members of Kiwanettes worked hard to serve school and community throughout the year Each year Kiwanettes and Key Club sponsor the Turkey Day Dance which was held at the Trowel Trades Building. Sponsored by the Palma Ceia Kiwanis, the club also supplied the school with much needed bike racks. Kiwanettes helped out at the Tampa Junior Museum's Haunted House in order to raise money for the museum's operation. The club also supported an orphan overseas as they have in past years. The girls enjoyed themselves by participating in the powder puff football games and in Panther Prowl. Kiwanettes was sponsored by Miss Sally Burrows and Mrs. Toni Abercrombie.
