Applicants must be members ofthe varsity band, or a participant in the Dancero or Majorette programs. Since only tvventy-five percent of the band was selected, this was an honor and goal which all band members strived to attain. The club aided I in the promotion of many band E functions and projects. Their club sponsor was Mr. John Turner. Band members practice hard to accomplish perfection. Organizations Quill and Scroll Outstanding members ot the PANTHER and Pep O'Plant staffs are inducted into the Quill and Scroll , each year on the recommendation of their sponsor Mr. Robert Stinson. Each applicant must submit a letter stating why he thinks he should be considered for membership in the club. ln addition, the applicants must rank in the upper third of their class. All Quill and Scroll members of Plant High School automatically become members of the National Quill and Scroll Foundation. 4 Organizations Fine Arts Our Fine Arts Club at Plant is made up of the many talented students in the school. The club holds auditions V twice a year at the start ot each semester. Students wishing to join must audition .. in front of a panel - of judges. Members of this club have such artistic talents as singing, dancing, painting, writing, acting, and playing musical instruments. Fine Arts again participated in Panther Prowl as they have in previous years. The club produced a talent show for the school and also did several shows for charitable organizations.
