Organizations I Dare You The club was formed to recognize students who achieve and maintain very high scholastic standards. To become a member students must maintain a straight A average tor one semester in both grades and conduct. There are two inductions held each year - a banquet in the fall and an assembly in the spring. Since the club is not allowed to hold fund-raising projects the members involve themselves in school activities. Mrs. Marguerite Smith and Mrs. Eva Maye Oeffler are the sponsors t who encourage , the present members to maintain high leadership standards. 2 to Z Q. 1 Z Z The induction party was a highlight for members of l Dare You. 6 Organizations Gold and Black Plant l-ligh Schoolls Gold and Black Club was organized for the purpose of honoring and recognizing the students vvho have shovvn outstanding service to the school. Membership requires active and varied participation in extra-curricular activities. Students must also show their cooperation, dependability and leadership. Interested sophomores and juniors apply for membership by tilling out point sheets listing all academic, athletic, and ex curricular activities. Each activity has a pecific point value nd those students who have accumulated the highest number of points are eligible tor membership. Club sponsor is Mr. Ernest Zeman. Organizations Quill and Scroll Outstanding members ot the PANTHER and Pep O'Plant staffs are inducted into the Quill and Scroll , each year on the recommendation of their sponsor Mr. Robert Stinson. Each applicant must submit a letter stating why he thinks he should be considered for membership in the club. ln addition, the applicants must rank in the upper third of their class. All Quill and Scroll members of Plant High School automatically become members of the National Quill and Scroll Foundation.
