I f The freshmen really became a part of Grand Canyon College after they had been officially in- 1t1ated into GCC. Freshman in- itiation lasted two days and dur- ing these days the freshmen were required to dress up and to wear their beanies and obey the upper- classmen. Freshman The year had hardly be- gun when what should we behold but a mess of crea- tures from unknown places began running around in all sorts of gear. The freshmen are here. Student Center the best place to get orientated. Oh for the life of a sophomore surrounded by freshman girls' right Paul? This is orientation ? ?? 335 Days They began the years activities with a week of or- ientation and tests. They took a conducted tour of the valley. During the fresh- man week, several parties were held to welcome them into GCC. The week ended with the PAL party. ' W .mr ini in ' Mr... Focus Week .1 as a.. . This year, Grand Canyon College was privileged to have a team of outstanding Christian Workers to lead Focus Week. The program of the Week included Siminars, and morning and evening services. Siminars and addresses included topics from missions to the home. Every student who attended the sessions- was challenged not only by the outstanding lives of these people, but also by the goals which they set for the students as Christian young people. The team members included: William H. Bramlette, Rev. Earl S. Bell, Miss Adelle Carlson, Rev. William Dyal, jr., S. L. Harris, Orba Lee Malone, Mrs. Bob Scar- 'tif' GCC's choralaires are an added attraction to Focus Week.
