Garden Grove ' s first team ever to win a Sunset League championship was coached by Blanch Beatty and consisted of 13 C cagers. With the last contest of the season yield- ing the league championship, the Grovers emerged victo- rious by a 1 point margin over a fiery Anaheim five. Led scoring-wise by Jim Takahashi and Jesse Hosmun, the mites finished the season with a 10 win-2 loss league record. STARGAZERS. Kono and Beatty seem to be gazing at the stars when they ore actua lly watching the boll going into the basket. Hosmun wins tip in championship gome against Anaheim.
