Young clubmen battle through spring The JV's emerged from their pre-season competition with a 4-3 record, three of the club's wins were by shutouts. Hurlers Vic Garcia, Steve Eheler, Randy Cohn and Marty Littlefield proved to be real work horses on the mound. Early season play saw Matt Maki lead the team in put outs with thirty-one while John -f Cardinali led in assists. The frosh baseball campaign was wide-open, with any of six teams, including Fremont, as title hope- fuls . Our young Indians depended on the solid hitting of Scott Lucas, lVlahina Young and Bob Elmensdorp. Pitchers Randy Cohn, Fred Williams and Andy Luke provided much potential for Fremont.
