Just because Mrs. Hallie Anderson's granddaughter, Cindy Sagely, married an aspiring young Arkansas Razorback kicker, we got one of the most popular sports figures in the nation to speak at our Sports Banquet. Who was this man for All Sports? Why, Steve Little, of course! He together with district titles in basketball and football made the 1978 All-Sports Banquet a real success. There were other sparkling facets of the banquet, but some, like Coach West's brilliant monologue, were bet- ter left at home. fNot reallyy Spirited conversation bubbled from table to table before, during, and after the banquet, for Foremanites love to talk. Lively humor sparked the speeches during the awards presenta- tion. Later on came autograph signing and picture taking time. The awards given at the All-Sports Banquet are as follows: FOOTBALL: Dedicated - Danny Hawkins: Improved - Wayne Watlington: MVP - Mark Cleghorn. GIRLS' BASKETBALL: Improved - Versia Easter: MVP Offense - Martha Monroe: MVP Defense - Sheri Broomfield: Rebound - Brenda Hardwick. BOYS' BASKETBALL - Improved - Carl Compton: MVP Offense - Archie Cody: MVP Defense - Morris Bradley: Rebound - Archie Cody. GIRLS' VOLLEYBALL - Alcie Mae Cursh. All-Sports Banquet ' ':-- annum.
