In streaking to a 17-8 season, the Edison 5 broke all team precedence. These in- cluded a new team scoring record of 95 points against New Bruns- wick, and the longest winning streak in Edison history. Led by high scorer, senior John Calamoncri, the Eagles had balance and good plays, leading to this season’s fine record. The high spots of the season were the 95 point scoring per- formance against New Brunswick, the Holiday Festival Finals, the County Coaches Tournament Finals, and oddly enough, a 2 point loss to Perth Amboy. The Eagle men proved themselves a fine and worthy group of sportsmen who had the rare quality of teamwork Next year’s season looks bright. Our second highest scorer, John Shroba will be back us will leading rehouuder, Wayne Ferullo. “Big John draws a beam on the basket.' “Shroba on the move.'

The Eagle men won the Mid- dlesex County wrestling champion- ship defeating East Brunswick, South Plainfield, and last year's champions, Piscataway. Edison claimed four individual champions: Danny O’Neil, Bruce Williams, and co-captains Mark Kichman and Tom Martin. Though the Eagles were plagued by injuries, the Edisonites wrestled well and finished the season with another winning record, adding to Edison’s fine wrestling history.
