142 Varsity Sharon Making East's second year in interschool badminton a better one was the team's goal. New to East this year was their coach, Mrs. Arm- strong. She was initiated to the team's antics by travelling with them to away matches, and putting up with their corny iokes and oft-key singing. Or maybe they had to put up with hers! Linda Elliot, Dolly Rogers, and Ann Comer all participated in State. For Linda and Dolly, this was their D last year on our Varsity team. Coach Impson works individually with the team. In his first year as gymnastics coach, Mr. Richard Impson hopes to set a good record. This is the team's second year in existence. Skill and patience combine to give the necessary ingredients for a successful gymnastics team. Senior Randy Hicks shows good form as he executes a handstand on the parallel bars while sophomore Jim Flower skillfully per- forms a handstand on the single bar. Gymnastics Team: Coach Impson, Jim Webb, Randy Hicks, Aaron Hughes, David Klezak, Darrell Tegen, Art Moore, Tim Sy- fert, Jim Flower, Tom Norris, Stan Reynolds, Mike Bomar, Joey Craig, Chris Brown, Greg Penbrook, Joe Metsner, David Stocks, Craig Rudolph.
