JUNIOR HISTORY The juniors met early in September to choose their class officers. The fol- lowing people were elected: President, Susan Grey, Secretary, Julia DeVore, Treasurer, Lois Robbins. 'lihe Junior sponsor is Miss McClelland. 'llhe play 4'Hold Everything , un- der the capable direction of Miss Hoffman, was presented in the gym November 16. The cast was: Constance Morgan-Mary Elizabeth Hrumbach, Hee Williams -Lois Robbins, Courtney Barret-Eugene Atherton, Mrs. GibbsfMary Welclon, Lottie Gibbs-Marion Martin, VVanda Gibbsflallian Mathiesen, Steve-Paul Steichen, Andy-Kenneth Hoffman, Mistress of a tourist home4Harriet Thomp- son, Niobe-Marie Doherty, Mr. Morgan-Russell Tambling, The detective-Ray Chapple. A party in honor of the play cast was held in the lower hall, December 155 dancing and games were enjoyed and ice cream and cake were served. The Juniors participated in the Senior Stunt Show, January 10, presenting a pantomime, Belle and Hillu. Parts were taken by Marie Doherty, Eugene Ath- erton, James Drew, Annette Hahn, Warreii liutz and James Dickes. The reader was Lucy Mae Chapple. SCHOOL DAYS Cut l yelled our producer, Mr. C. A. Brothers, on the night of june 5, 1935 f-thus bringing to a close our dynamic production, f'School Days. This movie took four long years to produce, and is a typical portrayal of high school life with its parties, athletics, plays, school-room scenes and activities of all kinds. lt is packed full of tears, comedy, pathos and laughter. During the first year of pro- duction School Daysu had a cast totaling seventy-three, but due to sickness and loss of people on location the cast at the close of four years totaled only sixty-two. While on location these actors and actresses relaxed long enough to put on two exceptionally good performances entitled HA Husband for Sale and UThe King Rides By . Also during their third year in the studio they put on one of the best receptions ever held. During the fourth year there were many dances-just to brighten the spirits of the hard-working stage hands, extras, directors and electricians. The co-stars of this production have been Albert Nelson-who held the spot- light of presidency for three years-and john Doherty, who has played the treas- urer's part for three years. Other official actors were john Gibbons, Dorothy Grubb, Jack Peterson, and jean Strufe, who served as vice-presidents or secre- taries during the time of filming the play. These people have never been known to fall down on any job given them nor to be late on the set. Although not everyone has been able to hold a leading role, we are certain that as you glance through this review of our picture, you will find that each indi- vidual has done a great deal toward making this movie one of the greatest 'thits' of all times.
