FUTURE TEACHERS OF AMERICA WR. Harmon is sponsor of a new club this year, called the F. T. A. 'The members consist only of Seniors . These girls and boys take charge of classes whenever a teacher is needed or is absent. Some of the students in this group planned to make a future of teaching, therefore this club can give them some experience in how to handle a classroom period. Hl LlTES GAIN this year the Hi-Lites Club was organized. It is under the direction of a new faculty member, Mr. Joe Winters. This club is composed of a group of regular contributors to the HI-LITES column which appears weekly in the daily paper, THE EVENING CHRONICLE. Without any class credit, these students have given their time and efforts willingly and freely and made the HI-LITES a success for the fourth consecutive year. STUDENT CCUNCIL il Q' HE Student Council, under the guidance and supervision of Mr. Stocker, has helped in many worthwhile projects this year. The council has aided in preparation of the Homecoming Game, had charge of the Mom and Dad night, finished selling book covers, and is looking forward to selling pop corn balls. The Council was established five years ago at D. H. S. and has since that time aided the students in settling any arousing questions concerning new im- provements for our school.
