The victorious proved best only by a small margin again in a quadrangular held at Decorah the week following. between Cresco, Oelwein. Wauk n and Decorah. The score was 22, 913, 1112 and 23 respectively. An exciting Uuadrangular between Creseo. Charles City. Osage and New Hamp- ton was held at Creseo. Points scored were as follows: Creseo 41. Charles City 62. Osage 37 and Nexv Hampton 24. New Hampton defeated Crssc in a dual meet 65 2-3 to 59 1-3. resilzhy Successful were Mr. F1anagan's wrestlers this year, having an undefeated sea- son, winning ten consecutive dual meets. vopping the district trophy. securing three places in the state meet and winding up the season by winning more individual me- dals at the Y. M. C. A. meet than any other fne team has ever taken. The wrestling season began with a quadrangulai' meet held at New Hampton. Cresco placed first in this meet with a total score of 53 points, while New Hampton had 3-1. VVest Waterloo 31. and East VVaterloo 18. The district meet. largest in the state, was held at Cresco on February 19-20 with wrestlers from 11 different schools competing. Cresco also took first place in this with a sc: re of 24. The places secured by Cresco's wrestlers were the following: Tuttle. second-85 lb. class: Bateman. first--95 lb. class: Reutlinger, second-105 lb. class: Connolly. second-145 lb. class: Easier, second-155 lb. classg Culbert, third- 165 lb. class: and Broghammer. third--heaxyweight. The men from Cresco winning places in the state meet were the following: Con- nolly. second: Tuttle. third: and Bateman. third. Th e climax lf the season was the Y. M. C. .-X. meet held at Waterloo, lt was at this meet Cresco brought home mo1'e honors ever taken by our school-placing five first place winners, tour second place winners, and three third place winners.
