WORKING TOGETHER I get the satisfaction ofknowing I played a role . . . in mak- ing Cortez High School the excellent Cschoolj that it is, stated Greg Stanton, senior. Joining Student Council was the most popular way of hav- ing a chance to participate in student government. Members from all four classes held dances, assemblies, Spirit Week and a talent show among other activities. They also sponsored the tailgate party, Homecoming and prom. NI learned how to work with people 'and how to put on ac- tivities and set goals and I've had the opportunity to meet new people from conventions and other schools, said Shan- non Norris, senior. Various fund raisers were held by the club throughout the year. Cortez pennants, tumblers, candy, Christmas and Valentine cards, and buttons were all some of the money raisers. I got a sense of if you take the time, effort and com- munication with others, there isn't anything that can't hap- pen! said Debbie Baker, sophomore.
