Top: Marlene Wagner and Lisa Savoca. The Speech team grew in size and reputa- tion during its second year. Speech involves a great deal of dramatics as well as com- posure and proper articulation. The team at- tended tournaments regularly, about once a month, and engaged in other forensic related activities. With their sponsor Diane Bykowski, students could work on improving their skills in front of an audience. The team nearly doubled in size and gradually increased the number of participants in tournament com- petitions which made for a lucrative and fun year. r . Q 59
