Bo th teams Improve throughout season By Kym Luther This year underclassmen girls worked hard to im- prove their skills at the game of volleyball. Although the record was not the best, the girls had strong feelings and are looking forward to a suc- cessful upcoming year. l'l think our biggest problem this year was learning to work as a team, while using our skills to the best of our abilities, stated one player. The coach of the freshman team was Doug Hoffman and the coach of thejunior varsity team was Jan Jenkins, who was also a student teacher in the physical education department. Both coaches did a tremendous job with raising the attitudes of the teams and improving their skills. Junior varsity players, Rita Wag- ner and Susie Malley stated, l'We had a great time during the sea- son while improving on our skills.
