We were now veterans and prided ourselves in knowing all the ropes at our high school. We enjoyed our -lunior year in our nev. school linilfling, there getting our first taste of being upperclassmen. lYhile our social activities increased, we found that our responsibilities were increasing also. lt seemed as if our coveted Senior year never would come. However, once it was here, it pass- ed much too quickly for most of us. Our Senior year was filled with excitement. During its course almost everyone seemed to forget why people come to school-to gain an education' although somehow most of us did seem to get our assignments done. After the thrilling Sectionals, the year seemed to rush to a close with a whirlwind of parties, banquets, and other social activities. None of us will ever he ahle to forget such events as Skip llay, the Senior Banquet, and the proudest, most long-awaited time of all-graduation, when, with laughter and tears, we hid our Alina Mater good- hye. Now as we look hack over our four years at Concordia, it seems as if they have lasted only a few days-wonderful days that will never be forgotten. We are certainly thankful to God that lie has hlessed us and made our short stay here so wonderful and so worthwhile. Come on in, the foods ierc-'s the fund? l'm starved. ' nm, pau, lmbzq, Ye are the light of the world. Christ left us this wonderful heritageg it is for us to let our light shine, that we may show the world that we are truly heirs of the Kingdom. We cannot keep our light hidden, for everywhere we go, our light illumines our personality radiating into the world through our achievements-spiritual, zteaclemic, and social-within and outside the call of duty. XVe should strive, there- fore, to keep our light burning brightly and to let our aura of light reflect through- out the world. XVe are at our best when we can see ourselves as others see us, and that is, namely, when we are mirrored in His Holy XVord. It is very fitting then, that the theme of Rrflcrfiozis be selected with religion as the keynote of our yearbook. Many inspiring hours and some discouraging hours were spent in the composition of this story. The T954 Luminarian staff could not have completed it without the very capable assistance of Mr. Fritz and Bud Williams of the Fort Wayne Engraving Company, the photographers of Barner and Robert's Studios, Mr. Bundy and the S. K. Smith Company for our covers, Berne Witness Printers, and our sponsors and patrons. Thanks are due also to the real people responsible for this story and for whom this book is written . . . the Guys and Gals of Concordia Lutheran High.
