DELTA SIGMA THETA Delta Sigma Theta was founded on one basic idea; that of brotherhood and equality of man. Through the thirty-eight years of its existence, Delta Chapter has served both its members and school faithfully. It has attempted to create complete understanding amongst the allied professions of pharmacy, medicine, and dentistry. The graduating men of DST are confident that the undergraduates will work in the true spirit and principles of the fraternity to carry it on to even greater heights. KAPPA PSI 1 -4 i Jfc| | « ' t • , • Like many great organizations. Kappa Psi had its humble origin in the form of a Greek letter Society in 1879. In 1898, a few zealous members formed a professional society of students of medical and pharmacy schools. In 1924 the medical division became Theta Kappa Psi and the pharmaceutical branch became Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity. The objectives of Kappa Psi Fraternity are to develop industry ' , sobriety, fellow- ship, and high ideals. The first, industry, is the force that provides an enthusiasm and brings satisfaction to others as well as the one who belongs for he will radiate a feeling of pride. The second, sobriety, is a symbol of virtue, for in the professions, one is more able as a result of training and experience to approach life with a sober mind. The third, fellowship, allows the professional man ' s inner thoughts and feel- ings to be revealed in mutual interests where faith. loyalty, and trust come forth freely expressed. The last, high ideals, is a fitting link that binds into unity. 102
