Dean Elizabeth Dyar Preschool is the lab for Child Development majors. The School of Home Economics offers undergrad- uate and graduate work leading to the Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees. The majority of college women students become home- makers soon after graduation and college home economics courses of study especially meet their needs for the responsibilities of homemaking, parent- hood, and responsible community living. Courses taken to receive a Bachelor of Science degree pre- pare students for a variety of professional oppor- tunities. The School of Home Economics is organized into four departments for administrative purposes. These are the Department of Foods and Nutrition; the Department of General Home Eco- nomics; the Department of Art and the Department of Textiles and Clothing. The School of Home Eco- nomics has a council consisting of elected students from the school working as a governing body. It works with the faculty of the Home Ec Department.
