ls this really happening to me? fleft to rightjx Ron Huff, Kathy Reeve, Bambi Moreland, John Tabor, Krista Lacis, Francis Eickbush. TOIVIAHAWK Aloha, the welcome of our fiftieth state, greeted girls and their dates at the annual Tomahawk Turn- about. At the far end of the gym floor, lights played on the palm trees surrounding a little grass hut on a green island. Draped on the sides of the gym were fish nets covered with exotic orchids, roses, and carna- tions. With Polynesian girls acting as hostesses the Blue Hawaii theme was complete. The highlight of the evening was the crowning of John Tabor as Tomahawk King by Bambi Moreland, Tomahawk president. Krista Lacis crowned Francis TU RNABOUT Eickbush lst attendant and Kathy Reeve crowned Ron Huff 2nd attendant. The King and his attendants each received an orchid lei and small gift pens from the Tomahawks. During intermission Steve Carlson, Jim Whitz, Johnny Hermansen, and David Capps, a quartet better known as the Shortcuts, performed for the guests. Color was added to the evening by the corsages the boys wore. These corsages were supposedly indica- tive of the boy's personality. Torn Quinn's orchestra provided the music for an enjoyable evening that pro- vided us with many pleasant memories. Arthur Murray's Dance Party little grass shack in Blue Hawaii
