Under a new coach, Mr. joe Rozanski, the Cross Country team posted a 5-8-1 running record on a rug- ged and rambling two mile course through Ottawa Park. The Celt's Triangular and Quadrangular meets were paced by seniors Ray Corrigan, Jim King and Tom Smith along with juniors Pat Murnen who sprinted sixth place in the city meet. In the District meet, the expressmen put forth a strong seventh place out doing an effort by St. Francis' squad to place ahead of them. With the returning juniors, next season's outlook is good. An excellent defense proved the key to the title, as opposing teams could only tally 24 points against the reserves. If the city title is any indica- tion of what kind of varsity team the future holds, Central should have little trouble keeping its cham- pionship tradition.
