2 , My fi Making many of the class decisions are the senior class officers: John Sloan, presidentg Richard - Wong, treasurer, Eleanor Gavran, secretary, and Ronald Harris, vice-president. a S S I S 0 I' U T .wi ff., 'E A-'W Mr. Dittmar, Head sponsor ln September, 1952, students came from many different directions to form the Class of 1956. Our guidance programs, held in the audi- torium, were the means of acquainting us with Carrick rules and regu- lations. We got acquainted asaclass through our many social gatherings, highlighted by the Christmas dance where a four piece band furnished the music! Of course the most cherished memory ofthe year was having Carrick win the City Championship in football over Peabody, 27-6. Our second year of high school found us getting around' more in sports, clubs and other activities, but it wasn't until our junior year that we felt capable of really helping out on aschool function. We proved this through our assistance in Family Night and the Key Club Minstrel. At the close of this year we had our first touch of SliNlORity with the electing of our senior class officers and the ordering of our class rings. Our senior year, we are confident, will remain .forever the most memorable one of our high school life. Presenting a successful Family Night, financial and otherwisc, gave us a new kind of triumphal satis- faction. We heartily enjoyed those special senior privileges - squeegies, name cards, Snowba1l,Prom, Class Day and finally gradua- tion, We have endeavored not only to meet the standards and ideals of former classes but also to improve upon them, so that the Class of '56 may have an honored and lasting name in the history of C. H. S, Our ambitions, however, could not have been reached without the guidance, assistance, and supervision of our class sponsors: Mr, Dittmar, Mr. Vesely, Mr. Ashbrook, and Miss Stewart. To them we would like to express our sincere gratitude. We shall never forget kind Mr. Hulley, one of our earlier sponsors, who left us at the end of our junior year.
