GIRLS SOFTB LL ' 'l' A ,I iii Will, Girls softball has had a long tradition at Rindge, but it has never really been publicized in the past, but now, it's all over the place. This year's turnout numbered 50 potential candidates, each possessing that special skill to bring a championship home to Rindge. This year's team was led by Mr. Al Priest, his first time as head varsity coach. Mr. Priest felt that this year's team was, very competitive. It was a rebuilding year because in '87 we lost a lot of our seniors. Even with this loss of excellent senior material, junior varsity and returning varsity players made Rindge and Latin proud on the baseball diamond. As Coach Priest said, They all had a very positive attitude. Due to the fact that the Girls Softball team has not been chosen at the time ofthis deadline for the yearbook, we regrettably could not have any pictures for this sport. This sort of occurrence is a mere inconvenience of time. Thank you.

BOYS INDOOR TRACK One of the many continuing things at Rindge is the fact that we have the best track teams in the state! Once again, Coach McCarthy and his boys have brought a Class A trophy and the All-State Championship back to Rindge and Latin. The team finished with an overall record of 7-1. The captains of this mighty team were Shawn Burke, Scott Cody, and lamalh Prince. Each of the captains were also All-Stars this year with the help of another teammate, Randy Barrows. The team was manned by a talented squad of seniors including Farousse Negga, Iason Greene, and the three All-Stars. This year marks the end of Cody's, Burke's, and Prince's domination of track at the high-school level. All three have been dominating in track for the past four years, and with the help of talented underclassmen, the team should continue strong.
