We feel that a play is very comparable to our daily lives at Union. Scenes constantly change day by day with moments of sorrow overshadowed by periods of joy and jubilation. Under the direction of an experienced faculty and administrative staff, each stu- dent has a job, no matter how big or small, that will affect the individual life styles that they choose to follow into an adult world. It is the endeavors of each student that constitutes the success or failure of opening night. After tallying the attendance figures and seeing the excellent job done by our actors and production crew, The U Annual proved to be a triumph. A Because of such a successful opening night, the yearbook staff would like to extend thanks to all those people who made this event possible. A special thanks is extended to Miss Rita Meister for her encouragement as faculty director, Mr. Bernard Magirl for his assistance not only as yearbook representative but also as photographer, Karen Quaderhas, business manager for her assistance, and to Skip Alrutz and Mike Vosburg for their assistance as student photographers. We would also like to express our gratitude to the many parents, advertisers, patrons, and friends for their financial support. o As the play closes, we think back on the joys and sorrows that we have experienced throughout our long weeks of practice. We feel however that any emotions displayed are indicative of the pride we have exhibited in producting our drama. A
