Dedication Miss Elizabeth L. Scott, for the past twenty-nine years, has been our school librarian and upon the completion of the school year will retire. We extend our sincere appreciation for all that she has done throughout the years for the student body. Miss Scott is a graduate of Muskingum College, where she obtained an A. B., and Penn State, where she received a Master's Equivalent in Library Science. She is a graduate of our own Union High School, where she returned in 1930 to become our school librarian. Miss Scott has been very active with the student body. She sponsored the first yearbook in 1941 and remained the sponsor until 1952. She has been a very influential Tri-Hi-Y Alpha advisor since 1948. Her feelings about our school are: It would be like a mother criticizing her child if I said anything about our school. I have grown with it. I am so proud of all the fine people we have graduated. Many thanks, Miss .Scott, and sincere wishes to you for the future. 2

THE “U” 67 Another year is gone. For seniors this has been a hectic year. For underclassmen it has been one more step up the ladder. For teachers it has been one more year of satisfaction in knowing that America's youth is further educated. Seniors, underclassmen, and faculty will all look back on 1967 and re- member these school days. Now, as the seniors leave this school with mixed feelings of emotion, they thank all those who have made these twelve years the most fruitful years of their lives. A heartfelt thanks to God who, more than anyone else, has made it possible. i

Dedication Having taught in conditions from a one- room school house in Hanlin Station to our present Union High School building, Mr, Malone realizes the duration of forty-one years of dedicated service to his profession. With his Bachelor of Science Degree, which he received in 1925, he has taught general science, history, and biology. At one time he was also the advisor of both the Hi-Y Club and a Biology Club. At the end of our present school term Mr. Malone is retiring, leaving the limelight of a teaching position at Union but hardly leaving our cherished memories. In Mr. Malone's farewell state- ments he felt that teaching young people for the past forty-one years has tended to keep him feeling young. Mr. Malone, we sincerely thank you, and we hope that we have given you at least a little satisfaction in comparison to all the knowledge, guidance, and friendship that you have given us. 3
