The Girls' Athletic Association under the guidance of Mrs. Howard has had a successful year fulfilling their purpose of teaching girls good sportsmanship. The girls started off the school year with election of these capable officers: President, Wanda Thompsong Vice-President. Dolores Harsheyg Secretary-Treasurer, Linda Dalvesco. Hanna. panlshll Los Conquistadores was selected as the name for the Spanish II club, The officers elected for the year were: James Muscaro, president: Pam Tyler, vice-president. Under the guidance of Mrs. Pusateri, the group participated in many activities. The high- light of these activities was the distribution of baskets of food to needy families in the area at Christmas time. The main purpose of the club is the furth- erence of understanding between the United States and Spanish-speaking countries of the world. panlsh III Los Diablos Azules, the name of the Spanish III club, is a new addition to the curricula at Union this year. It is also under the capable guidance of Mrs. Pusateri. All classes are carried on in Spanish and are all informal. Many activities were completed by the club. These activities included a movie in Pittsburgh. The future Los Diablos Azules club can look forward to an interesting and exciting time. To report the news truthfully without opinion and to voice the opinions of the student body are the main purposes of the Union Hi-Lite, amonthly newspaper published by the Journalism class. Under the guidance of the advisor, Mr. Brozier, and the help of the editor- in-chief Pam Tyler, the staff gathered material for each issue. The other editors of the paper areg Feature, Anita Guyog News, Joyce Scruppi: Business, Judy Kuziorg Sports, James Muscaro.
