The band has done a splendid job again this year under the leadership of Mr. Synder. The football shows, which featured such songs as Basin Street Blues and Belle of the Ball, were enter- taining to all. After the half time, the band was treated to hot chocolate and doughnuts from the Band-Parents Association. The majorettes, under the leadership of Patty Patsolic, and the color guard added greatly to the success of each show. The band has also participated in many other activities. The following members took part in the annual County Band Festival: Janet Bartoletti, Thomas Leskovich, Judy Petricca, and Marilyn Shaffer. The band also marched in various parades in the spring and at Kennywood Park during August. The highlight of the year was the Spring Concert which included fine selections of popular and classical music.
