FRENCH I CLUB With the same aims as the French II Club the French I Club is geared to the beginner level The officers are Jeanne Gabriels President Judy Berman Vice Pres: dent Sandra Hopper Secretary and Jean Slafer Treasurer The sponsor is Mrs Shirley Tilden FRENCH II CLUB The French II Club is experiment ing with putting their French to prac tical use at social evening meetings at the home of their sponsor. There they sing songs, play games, and prepare French dishes. The sponsor is Mrs, Shirley Tilden. FUTURE TEACHERS OF AMERICA The Future Teachers of America is a newly formed club in our school under the faculty sponsorship of Miss Rule. The purpose of the club is to investigate the field of teaching and help interested students to appraise their responsibilities and qualifications. The club has been named for Cath' erine Beecher, a woman who did much to establish education for women. The officers of this year's club are: Jeannie Kenny, Presidentg Patricia Eliasen, Vice Presidentg and Frances Blenke, Treasurer. 64

SENIOR DRAMATIC CLUB The purpose of the Dramatic Club is to instill in its members enthusiasm for all phases of dramatics and to teach them how to present club and assembly programs. The makeup work for all Dramatic productions is done by the members of this club. Each year the club attends a play on Broadway to watch professionals at work. Miss Louise Frowrifelter is the mod- erator and the officers are: Lister Glaisek, President, Francis Menzel, Vice Presidentg Lorraine Mazza, Secre- taryg and George Koenig, Treasurer. JUNIOR DRAMATIC CLUB The Seventh, Eighth and Ninth Grade Dramatic Club is for the pur- pose of furthering interest in all phases of dramatics. Reports, one- act plays, and pantomines which are given,at the bi-monthly meetings are for the purpose of instructing the members and giving them an oppor- tunity to develop their talents. A trip to a play on Broadway is planned each year, The officers are: Sandra Coughlin, President, Anne Ei- gen, Vice President, Kathleen Hiney, Secretary, Adrienne Butler, Treasurerg and Miss Louise Frownfelter, Adviser. BLUEPRINT AND TRACING CLUB The Blueprint and Tracing Club is composed of boys from third and fourth year mechanical drawing classes. The purpose of the club is to make tracings of drawings and blueprints whenever it is necessary for all mechanical drawing classes. Donald Pahl, this year's Bausch- Lomb Award winner, is president of the Club which is sponsored by Mr, Edgar Dietz, 63
