Academic Affairs Committee The Academic Affairs committee was projected toward the goals of more creative education. The committee conducted the course and teacher evaluation survey. One of the primary objectives of the committee was to initiate a more casual relationship between teachers and students. ocial Committee L. This year's Social Committee started things with a change by holding a soccer Homecoming in late September. A parade with floats was one of the features of the event. This year the Social Committee reduced the number of dances and during the second semester offered four name bands.

It is the purpose of SGA to secure a close relationship among the administration, the faculty, and the students. It is further the aim of this student organization to promote the growth ofthe college and to help it meet the needs ofa changing society and educational system. The Cultural Committee professes an interest in devel- oping students, taste for the finer things in life - at a modest pricef' This year the committee initiated a student-sponsored lecture series featur- ing such celebrities as Bill Sands, julian Bond, and Dick Cre- gory. The Cultural Committee also promoted the Kansas City Philharmonic concert series by sell- ing specially-priced tickets to over 100 Mounties and Rav- ens. Cultural Affairs Committee Ojicers, L. TO R.: Brian Kane, Chrmn., Larry McDaniel, Al Gerilz, Mr. Geist, Marc Kane Let's go see 'A Man anda woman! ' Religious Affairs Committee Ojyicers, L. TO R.: Bob Collins, Mr. Carpinelli, Jim Ryan, Fr. Stephen Burns, Mike Ryan, Mr. Flaherty, Greg Gorup, Greg Huebner. The purpose of this committee is to provide the students with a sounding-board for discussion of reli- gious matters concerning the youth of today. They sponsor movies which cover a wide range of topics pertaining to present religious and social problems. During the second semester, the committee devoted the majority of its time to the planning and execution of a retreat for the Twin Colleges. 120
