BELVI-1938 . Rau- I-DEMPSEY, BLACKLEDGE, MISS HARRIS, GRAVES, LAW. Row 12-GIBSON, HALL, KIESTER, PACKER, IALBRIGHT. BELVI STAFF Since the members of the 1938 Belvi staff Were chosen by the faculty at the close of the 1937 school year, Work was started on the book shortly after school opened in September of the current year. The subscription drive was held early in October and four hundred and twenty five students placed orders for year books. Mr. lVlcClary took all the individual and group picturesg the greater part of this Work was done in October and November so that the pictures could be sent to the engraver by the middle of December. The plates Were made again this year by the Pontiac Engraving Company in Chicago. Mir. Mong of the high school faculty took most of the pictures in the snapshot section and all of the pictures used for our division pages. This year the Belvi contracted with a new printing firm, the Rogers Printing Company of Dixon. During the second semester the dummy was prepared and the book was sent to the printer early in April.
