i X l A ' URCHESTRFI The orchestra is made up of twenty-one people from the sixth grade through the twelfth. It meets three days a week for rehearsal, although this year they did not meet the same period every practice, but met on a system of rotation of periods. The teachers and pupils cooperated very well on this set-up. There are many in the Orchestra who have played since they were in the sixth grade. lt is this group that has kept the Orchestra going. The Seniors who have played this long are Alton Emerine, Charles Wykoff, Mary Nickelson, Alan Kieffer, and Ilene Metzger. We hope the ones now in Orchestra will continue and that there will be new members. They have participated in Assembly, P. T. A., Farmers' Institute, Junior Class Play, Senior Class Play and Commencement. A few of the selections they have played this year are: Finlandia ............................................................ .leon Sibelius Finale from Beethoven's Fifth Symphony ............
