President Ray P. Rust On January 1, 1982, Anderson Col- lege lost a very fine president. Dr. Ray P. Rust left A.C. this year to fill the position of Executive Secretary-Trea- surer of the South Carolina Baptist Con- vention. Dr. Rust became president of A.C. in 1978 after a long search for a president. Dr. Rust was more than just a name at A.C. He participated in many of the on-campus activities. He always made the students feel as if they had known him for years. He was a great encouragement to freshmen who were nervous at the start of the year. Ander- son College regretted that Dr. Rust left and we certainly missed him. However, we knew that the S.C. Baptist Conven- tion gained an excellent leader and a wonderful Christian man. Dr Ray P.
