rldl on Victory for Homecoming . Festivities of the l947 homecoming began Thursday evening, October 30, with the traditional bonfire and pep rally led by the cheerleaders. The senior class again won first prize in the float competition in the parade Friday afternoon. Anyone look- ing up saw more of the senior talent displayed on the city water tower! The band, under the direction of Mr. Armstrong, led the parade, followed by the royal float and class floats. That rainy afternoon, football fans watched the fighting Ada Vikings de' feat the Fertile Falcons 28 to 20, making them the champions of the Wild Rice conference. Myrna Fetting was crowned home- coming queen by Noel l-faaland, captain of the team, at the all school party that evening. Her attendants were Audrey Hetland, Vernoletta Larsen, Betty Scott, Flo Haaland, Beverly Kraulik, and Bette Malakowslcy. After the Coronation she presented the trophy to the team, who by winning the game made homecoming a huge success. E
